Shaun Ryder for 'I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!' - Daily Gossip

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Shaun Ryder is to take part in this year's series of 'I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!'. And as anyone who saw Ghosthunting With…Happy Mondays (scroll down and click below to watch a clip) last year will know, this is a very, very good thing. The series starts on Sunday (November 14), at 9pm (GMT) on ITV1. Linford Christie, Gail Porter and Lembit Opik are among the other contestants.

From the papers:

Dizzee Rascal and the cast of Jackass were the last men standing at the MTV EMA afterparty in Madrid on Sunday night (November 7). No word on whether they were playing nutball together though (The Sun).

Chuck D says he wants Amy Winehouse to join Public Enemy for their IndigoO2 gig in London on November 14. "She can handle all the smoke," he said (Daily Mirror).

Vampire Weekend might go in a hip-hop or R&B direction for their new material. "We all really love the Drake album," drummer Chris Tomson said. "Maybe it'll rub off on our next batch of music." We wait with baited breath (Daily Star).

Noel Gallagher says he's not bothered about his kids supporting Manchester City FC, because he likes the idea of "being the old Blue and jumping over the couch at them when we go 3-1 up". Wishful thinking? (Various)

And finally... Big Brother stalwart Nicki Grahame is set to tour the UK in November - playing covers of indie classics. She'll be belting out the likes of 'Someday' by The Strokes, 'She's So Loose' by Supergrass and 'Music When The Lights Go Out' by The Libertines. An album is to follow in early 2011...
