Mark Ronson records bagpipe song with The View's Kyle Falconer

Mark Ronson and The View's Kyle Falconer have teamed up for a bagpipe-based song.

The Scottish singer/guitarist was enlisted by Ronson to collaborate on 'The Bike Song', which was released on Ronson's 'Record Collection' album earlier this year - watch the music video for it on the right.

Now Falconer has told NME that the pair worked on further material together.

"We recorded a couple of tracks," he confirmed. "There is one with bagpipes on it. He phoned me and was like, 'I don't want to sound racist but I have this song with bagpipes, do you want to write some lyrics and a melody around it?'."

The singer/guitarist said that there were no plans to release the song, but added: "Maybe it will be a one-off Christmas song."

Following his collaboration work Falconer has returned to work with his main band, with The View set to tour the UK this month. Their new album will be released in early 2011.
