Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil jailed for drink-driving

Motley Crue singer Vince Neil has been sentenced to two weeks in jail after admitting to a drink-driving charge.

The frontman, who was arrested after being stopped in his Lamborghini in Las Vegas last June, has agreed to a deal where he will spend two weeks in a Las Vegas jail and then two further weeks under house arrest.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Neil has agreed to the plea deal and will begin his sentence on February 15. He will plead guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol at Las Vegas Justice Court on January 26.

Neil said: "I have recognised that you can't drink and drive at all. I take full responsibility for my actions and will learn from this experience."

This will be the second time Neil has served jail time for drink-driving. The first was in 1984 when he was incarcerated for 30 days for vehicular manslaughter after losing control of a car and crashing into an oncoming vehicle.

Former Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas Dingley, who was in the passenger seat, was killed in the incident and the two occupants of the other car were seriously injured and suffered brain damage.
