The collection of 40 acrylic paintings was created especially for the show at the country's National Gallery in Copenhagen and many have never been seen before.

The work features images sketched on Dylan's South American tours, focusing on Brazil.

"I chose Brazil as a subject, because I have been there many times and I like the atmosphere," Dylan explained in a statement to accompany the exhibition.

The show runs until the end of January. There is no word yet whether it will tour.
