Liam Gallagher in Jose Mourinho jibe at Beady Eye show - Tabloid Hell

Liam Gallagher's in the papers once more today (March 21) - now for having a dig at Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho during a Beady Eye gig in the Spanish capital.

The band are currently in the middle of their first European tour, with the singer getting the crowd gee-ed up on Friday (March 18) at the show.

According to The Sun he told the crowd: "There's only one boss in this town, and if Jose’s here I'll have him."

The crowd didn't take the bait, though, with many happily chanting "Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole!" back at him.

The tabloid also points out that Liam may not have felt so cheery after his own favourite team, Manchester City, got beaten 2-0 by Chelsea yesterday (March 20)...

Beady Eye premiering 'Four Letter Word' on NME.COM tomorrow (Dec 26)

Beady Eye are set to premiere the full video for their new song 'Four Letter Word' on NME.COM at tomorrow (December 26).

Head to NME.COM from 10am (GMT) tomorrow to watch the video for the song, which features on Liam Gallagher and co's debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding', set for release on February 28.

Beady Eye are on the cover of the Christmas double issue of NME, which is on sale across the UK and available to order online. Check out the issue for a full interview with the band talking about their plans for 2011.

Beady Eye to play Isle Of Wight Festival 2011 – ticket details

Beady Eye have confirmed that they will play next year's Isle Of Wight Festival.

Liam Gallagher's band will go on stage before headliners Kasabian on June 12. The gig is the first festival appearance the group have confirmed.

Kings Of Leon and Foo Fighters are the other headliners for the event, which takes place on June 10-12. Pulp are also on the bill.

Speaking in this week's Christmas issue of NME, which is on UK newsstands and available digitally worldwide now, Gallagher said he believes Beady Eye's debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' is as good as Oasis' 'Definitely Maybe'.

Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye announce debut album details

Beady Eye have named their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' and will release it on February 28.

Liam Gallagher's post-Oasis band's record will feature 13 new songs including their first single release, 'Bring The Light'. The album's artwork is pictured.

The band, completed by Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, recorded the album with producer Steve Lilywhite in London's RAK studios last summer.

Beady Eye, Blink-182, RockNess tickets on sale today (Nov 26)

Tickets for Beady Eye and Blink-182's forthcoming UK tours go on sale today (November 26), as well as those for Scotland's RockNess festival.

Beady Eye tickets go on sale at 10am (GMT), Blink-182 tickets go on sale at 9.30am, while RockNess tickets are available from 9am.

Beady Eye are playing six UK shows in March while Blink-182 are set for an arena tour in July. RockNess will be headlined by Kasabian and The Chemical Brothers and will take place near Inverness on June 10-12.

Beady Eye's 'Bring The Light' – fans give their verdict

Beady Eye made their first song 'Bring The Light' available as a free download yesterday (November 10), and fans have been giving their verdict on the track via the NME.COM Office Blog.

The song is available for free from the band's official website, Beadyeyemusic.com, and will also be released as a seven-inch vinyl, with a cover of World Of Twist's 'Sons Of The Stage' on the B-side, via the same site.

Based on the mini-reviews posted on NME.COM it seems reactions to Beady Eye's debut have been mixed.

NME.COM user psj3809 wrote: "I'm torn on this, [I'm a] huge Oasis fan but at the moment [I'm] very disappointed… [I] suppose Liam can't win, if it sounds like another Oasis song he'll get slated, if it sounds different… he'll get slated as well. Disappointed, [I] need to hear another tune."

Mark, meanwhile, wrote: "I like it. It's a departure enough to be considered 'them', and not 'Oasis', but it's a big tune. Good song. And I like it more after every listen."

User legend was less positive about the song, writing: "Great piano loop but [I] can't help but feel this could have been mega, and [I have a] feeling of disappointment that the song sort of doesn't go anywhere. It's Liam by numbers, verse, chorse and repeat the first verse again and again, seems like he has always had a problem coming up with a second verse."
